Fashion Friday: Knotted Trend in Burgundy & Black

Today I'm combining a few of my favorite trends into one outfit! First, I LOVE the knotted/twisted trend that's going on! I think tops like this one and dresses this one just add a flattering, and unique touch (scroll down to the bottom to see more knotted pieces I'm loving). Second, I am LOVING the burgundy/wine color trend for the fall. This has always been one of my favorite colors and I'm happy to see that it's back "in" this season! Finally, I am also happy to see that lace up flats and shoes are trendy again! I purchased these from Old Navy last season and I love them so I was happy to see them come back! I also love these and these.

What I love about this outfit is it's great for work (you can make it a little dressier by swapping out black jeans for black dress pants and adding heels like these), but it's also comfortable enough to be an every day outfit.

Fashion Friday: Coffee Date in a Black Swing Dress

I love loose fitting swing dresses and so I was thrilled to find this dress at Old Navy! I actually liked it so much that I got it in black and maroon. It's a great fall/winter basic to have! I love pairing dresses with booties in the fall and then adding tights/leggings during the winter. I was also very excited to see that Nordstrom is currently carrying the scarf I'm wearing. I bought it last year and have pretty much worn it non-stop during the cooler months! I LOVE the pattern and olive color and I love that it's a warm, blanket scarf without being too bulky.

Fashion Friday: Wardrobe Staples- White Top, Jeans & Nude Pumps

Every girl needs a nice white top, great jeans, and a classic pair of pumps (I prefer nude). I consider these three pieces to be wardrobe staples. In this look, I wanted to keep it minimal and so I just paired my white cami with jeans. You can easily transition this look for the fall weather by adding a cardigan or blazer. I absolutely love the flatter v-neckline of this simple cami and I love the classic shape of my nude stilettos.

Fashion Friday: Day to Night Outfit Idea + My Favorite Labor Day Sales!

Today I want to share a look with you that can easily be transitioned from a day at the office to a date or girls night out. I absolutely love the classic and professional look of pencil skirts with blazers and I think that both a pencil skirt and a blazer are universally flattering on every body type. I had fun pairing a brighter, more bold pencil skirt with a very simple black blazer and top. If you do not already own a black blazer, I highly suggest you invest in one. Black blazers are extremely versatile and can be dressed up or dressed down!
