Holly & Merritt's Wedding | A Clemson, SC Wedding Photographer

Holly and Merritt's wedding day was so full of emotion and joy and it was clear how much Holly and Merritt love Christ and love one another. One of my favorite moments in the day was when Holly and Merritt prayed together and exchanged gifts before their ceremony. Merritt gave Holly and journal with a letter and Holly gave Merritt a box with hundreds of notes she had written him throughout their relationship! It was such a sweet and intimate moment that they were able to share just before walking down the aisle. It was an absolutely beautiful day!

Fashion Friday: The Perfect Transitional Outfit

I'm excited to share that I will be starting a new series called "Fashion Friday" on the blog! If you know me, you know that I love fashion and expressing my creativity and sense of style through my clothing. I am also, as most who are probably reading this blog, trying to follow a tight budget and don't have a lot of extra funds to spend on clothes. So, I thought it would be fun to share affordable outfit ideas on my blog every Friday. I'm going to try this out for a few months and see how it goes and then decide if I want to continue the series. I would absolutely LOVE to hear any feedback or ideas that you have as I begin this new series!

Each post will contain affiliate links. That does not mean I'm being sponsored by any brands or that my opinions are biased in any way. It just means that I make a small commission if you purchase the product by using my link (and so I would GREATLY appreciate it if you do use my link if you decide to buy something I've mentioned)!

I'm starting with what I consider a perfect transitional outfit. I think this outfit works well for the fall or the spring! In my opinion, a chambray shirt is an essential item to have in your closet! I wear mine all the time and it goes with so much. I love the look of this shirt paired with my Free People southwestern mini skirt. In addition, I recently purchased the Sam Eldeman boots pictured below and I'm OBSESSED (I have been eyeing them forever and actually found them at Nordstrom Rack for over 70% off!!). These boots work in fall, winter, or spring and they pair well with pants, skirts, or shorts. I love their classic and minimal design and how comfortable they are! They might be my favorite pair of shoes I have EVER owned and I promise you that they are 100% worth the money! Finally, I am also wearing Gorjana's G-ring earrings. I consider these a "must have" because they go with everything and I am guilty of pretty much wearing these every other day! Again, I really love their minimal design and they are great quality.

Thank you to Sammi Evans Photography for these wonderful pictures!

Sumter County Museum | Celia & Isaac's Wedding | A Sumter, SC Wedding Photographer

Celia and Isaac's wedding day was a beautiful, rustic, outdoor wedding filled with joy! I absolutely loved their venue at Sumter County Museum! Celia and her family and friends also did a great job decorating and thinking through all of the wedding details...everything was beautiful. Isaac is actually one my dear friends (Abbie) brother and so I've know the Ormond family for a while now. I really enjoyed getting to meet all of the extended family and getting to see sweet Clemson friends and one of my August 2016 couples (yay Jenna and Daniel!). I'm always so thankful for friends who are so supportive of my business and who give me the privilege of capturing their most important memories!

The forecast called for rain on Saturday but it looked likely that it would just pass through or rain in the morning before the ceremony was to begin. Thankfully, we were able to take all of the pictures we needed before the ceremony and there was no sign of rain. Just as the ceremony was beginning, it started to drizzle a little bit. A few minutes into the ceremony, it started POURING! While I've experienced rain on several wedding days, this is actually the first time I experienced pouring rain in the middle of a ceremony! Everyone grabbed their umbrellas and a man came over to Isaac and Celia and held an umbrella over them. Isaac and Celia took it all in stride and remained joyful throughout their ceremony and they didn't let the rain worry them. Thankfully, it stopped raining shortly after the ceremony was over and they were able to dance and do the rest of their reception as planned! I'm always so thankful for couples who remember that what is most important about their day is not whether or not it rains or how perfectly all the details fall into place, but rather, that at the end of the the day they'll be married!

Congratulations Isaac and Celia! I hope you're enjoying your honeymoon and that have fun reliving your day through these pictures!
