Fashion Friday: Day to Night Outfit Idea + My Favorite Labor Day Sales!

Today I want to share a look with you that can easily be transitioned from a day at the office to a date or girls night out. I absolutely love the classic and professional look of pencil skirts with blazers and I think that both a pencil skirt and a blazer are universally flattering on every body type. I had fun pairing a brighter, more bold pencil skirt with a very simple black blazer and top. If you do not already own a black blazer, I highly suggest you invest in one. Black blazers are extremely versatile and can be dressed up or dressed down!

Rock Quarry Garden | Katie's Bridal Portraits | A Greenville, SC Wedding Photographer

I had so much fun taking Katie's engagement pictures and her bridal portraits. We originally planned to take her portraits at the Commerce Club and then downtown Greenville. But once we finished at the club, we headed downtown and were told we could not enter Falls Park because of a last minute rally that had been planned. Thankfully Katie was calm and flexible and her Maid of Honor had the wonderful idea of going to the Rock Quarry garden. It worked out great and the garden was the perfect spot for the rest of her portraits! I absolutely LOVE the stone bridge and beautiful landscaping in the garden. I felt a little like I was taking pictures in England! Here's some of my favorites from Katie's portraits:

Kurtz's Beach | Gabrielle & Ryan's Wedding | A Pasadena, MD Wedding Photographer

I have enjoyed getting to know Gabrielle and Ryan! Gabrielle is also a photographer and so I was very honored when she choice me to photograph her wedding. I had a wonderful time exploring DC with these two for their engagement session last spring. 

Gabrielle and Ryan's wedding was originally scheduled for November but they recently decided to move the wedding up because Gabrielle's dad got very sick. I was very happy they were able to move the wedding up for his sake and they did an amazing job putting together some of the final pieces of their wedding very quickly! 

Their wedding was full of love and lots of friends and family! I loved Gabrielle's first look with her father (SO sweet!) and I loved the way that Gabrielle included her son Maciek throughout the day! Maciek received his own ring during the ceremony and he read his own set of vows. It was a beautiful day!!
