Rachel and Hardee’s wedding was unbelievable! Really, it was one of my favorite weddings so far! It was so unique, beautiful, special, and fun. Rachel’s mom did an incredible job planning everything and she picked some amazing vendors! Rachel also picked an amazingly beautiful dress, seriously…stunning! I also really loved getting to know Rachel and Hardee’s bridal party! They were so sweet and so much fun! It seemed like people came from all over the world for this wedding! Canada, Switzerland…you name it!
Hardee owns a martial arts studio in Chapel Hill (in fact, Rachel also works for the studio and that’s where they met each other) and so their wedding had many unique Asian elements. Hardee knows Dan, the owner of the “Uncommon Garden,” who was kind enough to let us take pictures there. Very few have ever been allowed to enter or photograph the garden and it was an honor to be there! It was unbelievable! Words (or pictures for that matter) can’t really do it justice. I felt like I was in another country or maybe in Jurassic park. I mean, there was a fire-breathing dragon!! There was also an egg in the garden modeled after the egg in the movie “Alien” (you can see Hardee and Rachel “running” from the egg in some of the pictures).
Another one of my favorite parts of the day was Hardee’s reaction to Rachel as she came down the aisle. He was tearful and seemed so joyful and happy! It was such a beautiful site to witness!
Rachel and Hardee, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your amazing day! I hope you had a wonderful honeymoon in Hawaii and that you enjoy reliving your wedding through these pictures!
