Island House Wedding | Lauren & Sudeep | A Charleston, SC Wedding Photographer

Lauren and Sudeep had an amazing wedding day! As I mentioned in their engagement session post, Lauren is one of my very close friends and so it was extra special for me to be able to capture their day. The morning started with the girls getting ready at one of Lauren’s friend’s homes in Charleston. They live on the marsh and their backyard is gorgeous! I really enjoyed taking pictures of the details, the girls getting ready, and the bridesmaids there. After that we headed over to the Island house on John’s Island. The Island house has an absolutely stunning view and sits right on the water!

Right before we were about to do Lauren and Sudeep’s first look, it started pouring rain. We held off and thankfully after about 45 minutes we were able to do their first look. Even with the change and schedule, Lauren and Sudeep had great attitudes and stayed very flexible! In fact, one of my favorite parts of their day was their first look. Right after seeing Lauren for the first time, Sudeep asked her if she'd like to pray together. It was so encouraging to me that one of the first things Lauren and Sudeep did together on their wedding day was pray! What a beautiful way to enter into marriage together!

Lauren and Sudeep had a beautiful, Christ-centered wedding day. They also had guests travel from farther away than any wedding I’ve ever photographed! Sudeep had family there that traveled from London, South Africa, and other distant locations! I really enjoyed how Lauren and Sudeep tied Indian customs into their wedding day with henna, a special shawl and tying a minnu on Lauren during the ceremony.

Their day ended with one of the prettiest sunsets I’ve ever seen followed by a very unique glow stick exit on a boat. Lauren and Sudeep, I hope you had an absolutely amazing time on your honeymoon to your secret location!!

Highgrove Estate on Laurel Lake Wedding | Christina & Jesse | A Fuquay Varina, NC Wedding Photographer

I am so excited to share Christina and Jesse's wedding on 5/31/15 at Highgrove in Fuquay Varina, NC with you today! I had a blast shooting their engagement pictures back in the spring at UNC's Coker Arboretum and I have been looking forward to their wedding day ever since! Christina and Jesse are a very sweet couple and their love for one another is so evident! I met them at my church in South Carolina, Crosspoint Church, and I have loved being able to watch them move from dating to engagement to marriage.

As I arrived at Highgrove on Sunday, I immediately fell in love with their venue! Highgrove is a beautiful estate with lovely, antique inspired rooms and gorgeous grounds. If you're looking for a wedding venue in the Raleigh, NC area I definitely encourage you to check out Highgrove! Christina and Jesse had a gorgeous orange and teal wedding and one of my favorite details was their incredible flowers! Their flowers were actually put together by Publix in Cary, NC where Christina's father, Tim Gibson is the store manager. They were stunning!

Their wedding day was beautifully decorated but most importantly, it was Christ-centered. I loved being in the room as the bridesmaids prayed over Christina shortly before she walked down the aisle. They had a beautiful ceremony officiated by Pastor Ken Lewis and Jesse and Christina prayerfully and joyfully entered into the covenant of marriage with a heart and desire for their marriage to be a picture of the gospel. One of my favorite parts of the day was when Christina walked down the aisle and Jesse teared up and got the biggest smile on his face!

Christina and Jesse, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day! I hope you enjoy these pictures and memories and I look forward to seeing how Christ is exalted in your marriage.

Rachel & Tim's Wedding at the Pink House | A Clemson, SC Wedding Photographer

Rachel and Tim’s wedding was beautiful and it was such an honor to be able to capture their special day! I met Rachel and Tim at Crosspoint Church in Clemson, SC and have known them for a few years. It’s been a joy to watch them date, get engaged, and get married! They are such a sweet couple and their love for Christ and love for one another is so evident.

Their wedding was held at the Elder’s lovely “Pink House” in Central, SC. The Elder’s home was a perfect venue for a wedding!  Their house reminds me of Charleston and I love it! It sits on a farm and so there’s plenty of beautiful spots to get pictures and their pink house made a lovely back drop for the ceremony! I also loved all of the details at Rachel and Tim’s wedding. I absolutely ADORED the flowers (they looked like wildflowers), the pretty pink bridesmaids dresses (which matched the home perfectly), and Rachel's stunning vintage inspired lace dress. Everything came together wonderfully!

Tim and Rachel also had one of the sweetest first looks I’ve ever seen! Seriously, Sammi and I were fighting back the tears as we took pictures! Tim’s reaction when he saw Rachel for the first time was so joyful and full of emotion.

Tim and Rachel, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful, Christ-centered day! It was a joy to capture!

Caroline & Josh's Wedding at Hidden Cove at Lake Keowee | A Seneca, SC Wedding Photographer

Caroline and Josh have one of the most unique proposal stories I've ever heard! Josh had Caroline flown on a helicopter to an island on Lake Hartwell. When she arrived there were bottles scattered across the island with messages from Josh. When Caroline opened the message from the last bottle she was led to Josh. When she found him he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him!

Their wedding day was beautiful and we couldn't have asked for more perfect weather! It was 75 degrees and sunny and the the water on Lake Keowee was glistening and beautiful! Caroline and Josh had a lovely outdoor ceremony and reception (I love when my couples have outdoor weddings!). Their close friends and family members gathered together to watch them tie the knot on Lake Keowee and then they danced the night away at their reception. It was a wonderful day and I'm so glad that Josh and Caroline allowed me to be a part of it!

What's In My Wedding Packages? | Raleigh-Durham, NC Wedding Photographer

I'm excited to share with you a little but about what goes into my wedding packages! I use a wonderful online photo gallery called PASS to share all of my images. PASS allows my clients to instantly download all of their photos and to share the link to the online gallery with all of their friends and family. I will probably write a post soon that shares more information with you about PASS.

However, for wedding images, I like to do something extra special and personal! I still send my clients an online PASS gallery of all their wedding day images and I also mail them a package. In their package, I include a beautiful wooden USB with all of their photos. I decided to go with a USB instead of a CD because many people don't have CD drives on their computers any more and because... well they're just really pretty! I try very hard to provide my clients with beautiful packaging and products while staying within a tight budget.

In addition to the wooden USB, I also include 5x7 prints of a few of my favorite pictures from the wedding day. I like to give my clients a few prints because I think it shows them how beautiful their pictures are when they're printed. In this day and age, we have a tendency to keep everything electronically and on our computers and to never get anything printed. I want my clients to be encouraged to print out their wedding pictures and treasure them for years and years to come!

I also write my clients a thank you card and let them know (to all my future brides, this applies to you as well!) that if they tell their friends about me and one of their friends books me as their wedding photographer, I will send them a free 11x14" canvas of their favorite wedding picture!

I also include a business card so they can share my card with friends and family if they want. The very talented Emily Schneck recently designed my logo, business card, and gift cards, and I love them!

Finally, I wrap it all up and take it to the post office! I love putting together these little packages for my clients. I hope it brings a very personal touch to their wedding day photography and let's them know how much I appreciate their business and friendship.
