Second Empire Restaurant and Tavern | Ashley & Nathan's Vow Reaffirmation | A Raleigh, NC Wedding Photographer

Ashley and Nathan have a beautiful story! After they got engaged, Ashley was unexpectedly diagnosed with cancer. Instead of planning a large wedding, they decided to get married quickly and have a small ceremony. Over the next year and a half of their marriage, Ashley went through radiation, chemotherapy, and a liver transplant. Thankfully, Ashley successfully made it through her treatment and transplant! So, Ashley and Nathan decided to plan a larger vow reaffirmation and they re-committed themselves to one another on 6/4/16. 

During their ceremony, the pastor said that their marriage is a picture of Christ's steadfast love towards us. I thought that was a beautiful way to explain how they have steadfastly loved one another through the trials they've faced just as Christ loves his children steadfastly and continually. I was so blessed to hear a small part of their story and to see them have the opportunity to reaffirm their vows and celebrate their marriage after a period of intense hardship. I was honor to photograph!

JC Raulston Arboretum | Taylor & Josiah's Engagement Pictures | A Raleigh, NC Wedding Photographer

I'm so thankful Taylor and Josiah hired me as their wedding photographer! Josiah's family goes to my church in Mebane (Grace) and I have really enjoyed getting to know Taylor and Josiah better during this exciting time in their lives! Taylor just graduated from UNC and Josiah will be graduating from NC State next year and they'll be getting married next June! I can't wait to shoot their wedding!

We had a great time taking their pictures at the JC Raulston Arboretum in Raleigh. There was so many beautiful flowers blooming and it was so fun to walk around with Taylor and Josiah. We had to reschedule due to all this crazy rain we've been getting but the day we ended up taking their pictures was beautiful and sunny and we were able to get some great golden hour pictures during sunset! Historic Oak View | Kevin & Kimberly's Engagement Pictures | A Raleigh, NC Wedding Photographer

I had so much fun during Kevin and Kimberly's engagement session and I can't wait for their wedding in July! I met Kevin and Kimberly a few months ago through Gretchen with Red Bird Events who was kind enough to refer them to me. Kevin and Kimberly have been dating for five years (in fact, their dating anniversary was the day we took these pictures!). I was so excited that Kevin and Kimberly wanted to do their session at Historic Oak View and I had so much fun exploring the beautiful grounds! It is definitely one of my new favorite places to take pictures! Kimberly is studying to be a veterinarian at NC State and her and Kevin are animal loves and so they also wanted to get some pictures with their beautiful dog! She was a good sport and she even smiled for one of the pictures (or at least I think it looks like she's smiling...see if you can find the picture below!). Here's a few of my favorite pictures from their session:
